One thing for certain, baking bread is good for the soul. And strength enough for that task is a great gift. Love to you in Christ, Steve. I pray for you and Peggy.

Hi Steve, so glad you have been writing again.

Thank you for this. There is truth here. I especially thank you for your ending questions, as they have been some of my own, though often not articulated. I still want to have, or be able to find, the definitive answers, but that desire is fading to some extent. I'm a bit more able to sit with my ignorance of how to do and be all that, and hold on to the hope that Jesus will never let me go, even if I can't see or know anything else.

May God give you grace.

Dana (at St Seraphim, Santa Rosa, and reader since your old Pithless days)

Wow! It is so cool to see a comment from you Dana! So, yeah, we've put on a few years and some mileage and the "warranty" is up and stuff has been breaking HAHA! But yes, I think I've come back to our old "Jesus Freak" axiom "Jesus is the answer" and it really is just that simple and that hard. Blessings to you too! Good to hear from you again!

Blessed Nativity Fast and good strength to you, Brother +

Not only do I feel every word you have written for this piece, but I’ve lived and am living it. May God help us, save us, and have mercy on us!

And also to you and your house, Good Deacon.

Baking bread requires a human touch and patience, and more touch and more patience. It is a process, and the thing is completed by fire. Community is like that. Love is like that. Christ is in the midst of it all, and in us. How can we walk away? PTSD does not change this fact.

Nice reflection. It seems at various stages along the way, we have to reassess where we've been, where we are, and where we going. If we don't, God usually finds a way to get our attention (sickness, etc.)

As I approach my last year of teaching, I'm doing a lot of reassessing. Not sure where it will lead, at this point. Just trusting God to lead the way. Thanks for sharing!
