I’ve thought of this as an exam for a long time. Unlike any you ever heard of. The question what will be on the test is common from about the 3rd grade up. So the questions are given in advance. Not only that, the right answers and why they’re right. Not only that, the wrong answers and why they’re wrong. It’s as though the one giving the test wants everyone to pass. What more could be done to help the people taking the test? Further, it states pretty clearly that everyone is taking the test. Whether they know it or like it or not. Everyone is on everyone else’s test.

Thank you for this thought provoking and comforting reflection. Much of it is written to or about me though you didn’t know that. I might even be feeling a little encouragement not just dread as Lent approaches

i have to hope for a universal salvation also. i cannot imagine a God who as you say is expecting someone to better than Him. i do fear there are those who will not be saved though, not because God will kick them out(where can they go apart from Him) nor because they do not want to be saved. these ones will be like judas i believe. they can repent, but do not feel worthy and therefore cannot accept forgiveness. in not accepting that, they will not accept that they are capable of being saved and will wallow in their own self-damnation. Lord have mercy!
